You will never believe why this North Italian town won’t let its Pakistani immigrants play cricket
The mayor of a small town in northern Italy has banned cricket in its parks after a ball struck a two-year-old on the head.
As reported in the BBC, the boy was about 100 metres away from the ground in his home. He is reportedly out of danger.
Most of the migrant Pakistani community play cricket in Italy, a sport which isn’t popular in the European nation.
Mayor Renzo Caramaschi said the ban was prompted by an email he had received from the boy's parents about the cricket ball having hit their son.
"We will soon make an assessment with representatives of the Pakistani community," he added.
